The truth never hurts (Levi x reader)

“Wait for it..” said Erwin. All the scouts were ready in position to attack an abnormal. They are in the woods, standing on the big branches of the trees waiting for the right attack.
“NOW!” Erwin shouted and Levi was the swiftest to react. His comrades followed him from behind trying to pick up Levi’s pace.
“Just follow my lead and maybe just maybe you all will survive.” Levi said while zipping pass the trees.
“Yes captain!” they replied in unison.
As they were heading close to the abnormal, there were some changes according to plan.
“Sir! There are two more titans approaching our way!” Jean yelled.
Levi gave in a deep sigh.
“Fine, change of plans, you guys go take care of the other two and I’ll handle the abnormal one.” Levi instructed.
“But captain – “
“And that’s an order!” Levi swung towards the abnormal in a flash.
Alright big guy, you’re mine!  He thought. The titan was no match for Levi’s speed, he sliced the titan’s nape but it didn’t die.
Crap! It’s not deep enough, that’s a first. He told himself. Then suddenly Levi felt a gust of wind passed by him and a scout came crashing in. Levi can’t tell who that guy may be because the guy’s face was covered by his hood. The guy went swinging pass Levi and without a word Levi got pissed with the guy.
“HEY! I TOLD ALL OF YOU TO GET THE OTHER TWO TITANS, DIDN’T I?” Levi yelled but the guy ignored Levi’s orders. The guy just kept swinging until he was close to the abnormal. This made Levi even more pissed.
“CADET GET OUT OF THERE NOW! THAT’S MY KILL!” Levi quickly caught up to the guy but the guy was swifter and he sliced the abnormal’s  nape. The cut was intensely deep that the whole head came off. Levi was very pissed right now. The guy was now on land and Levi came up to him in a very pissed way.
“HEY YOU! STOP RIGHT THERE AND THAT’S AN ORDER!” Levi yelled. “ARE YOU DEAF? I SAID STOP—“ Levi pulled the guy’s hood from behind and he was mesmerized by what he saw and this was another first for him. He never felt anything like it before. A music player fell on the ground.
“Hey...I was enjoying my music and my favourite tune was up!” The “guy” that Levi thought was actually a girl.
Levi didn’t know what to do since his mind was not on earth anymore.
“Y-you should be more polite next time. I can hear you screaming under my headset but I didn’t catch any of what you were saying, sorry about that.” you said. Levi was in the range of turning red but he kept his expression was still the same old serious one.
“Next time think twice before you kill MY titan!” Levi said. “YOU COULD HAVE DIED OUT THERE!”
“Pfft...but I didn’t” you picked up your headset and placed them on your head. Listening to your tunes once again.
“Catch you later...maybe” you gave a wave and swung into the unknown.
Why do I feel...different all of a sudden. Levi shook that thought away.




The next week...
Levi is just in his office doing his office doing his paperwork.
URGH!  He groaned.
“It’s the same routine again and again...” he whispered.
He thought of going outside and taking a quick stroll until someone knocked on the door.
“Name and purpose.” Levi said while rubbing his eyes from stress.
“Sir! It’s Connie and Sir Erwin told me to give you this pile of papers!” Connie tried to sound confident since he knows Levi is not the type of person you can get along with easily.
Levi sighed. “Alright, come in.”
Connie came in with the pile of papers and Levi got somewhat annoyed when he saw the stack of papers since he has to do extra load of work.
“Just place those on my desk and I’ll take care of the rest.” Levi instructed him.
After Connie placed down the stack of papers, he exited. Levi took a quick glance on the papers and decided to just continue with the stroll he was planning. He got his cloak, his gears and went out.

As he was walking, his hood was up so no one would recognize him. He passed by a house and heard a familiar sound. This made Levi’s eyes widen.
That voice...could it be her?  He asked himself.
He peeked through the window and you were there helping your mom with her chores. Levi smirked and without any hesitation he knocked on your door.
“Can you get that, dear?” your mom asked.
As you opened the door you were starstruck to see Levi. Levi removed his hood and gave a sly smile.
“What brings you here?” you asked.
“I was just taking a stroll and I wanted to ask you if you want to join me.” He tried to stay calm as possible. Before you had the chance to speak, your mom saw Levi.
“Wait...is that...captain LEVI?—“
You got your gears, closed the door and decided to accept his offer on taking the stroll.
“So where are we going?” you asked.
“Anywhere, you decide.” His expression became serious.
“Hmm...what if I say outside wall Maria?” you joked.
“Sounds great, I can even perfect my skills some more.” He said.
“But first let’s buy some food, for light snacking and—“
“And I’ll pay.” Levi finished your sentence.
“What?? Well alright if you insists.” You frowned.
You guys bought some bread, apples and water. While you guys are heading to wall Maria, you started.
“So you’re the famous captain Levi, I heard that you’re a great titan slayer a-and I never knew that you would be quite handsome at the same time.” you gave a smile.
The word “handsome” struck Levi and made his heart raced.
“Thanks.” He said.
You guys got a perfect spot where no titan can see you and began to settle down and eat. While you were eating your bread, he started.
“Are you really part of the scouts?” he grabbed an apple.
“No, not really..but I want to join the scouts. When I told my mom about that, she started scolding me that being a scout is a risky task. It’s a matter of life and death. I know she’s trying to protect me but—“ you looked down at your bread.
“—But you still want to join..” Levi munched his apple. “I would accept you to join the scouts and you can be part of my squad.” His expression is serious. “To the point that you’ve outrun me for the first time.”
You gave a cold smile.
“By the way, where did you get the uniform and the gears?” he pointed to each one as he says it.
“Oh, I made the uniform. My mom wouldn’t let me join the scouts, so i decided to make a uniform for myself. And for the gears, well my dad is an engineer so I asked him to make a replica of the gears you guys are using. It was my birthday gift from him.” You opened a bottle of water.
“You do know that’s illegal.” Levi said.
You gave a sigh.
“You’ve got a little something beside your mouth.” Levi carefully removed the breadcrumbs using his thumb. “I don’t like messy faces.” He gave a half smile.
This made your face red. You starred into his grey eyes which were so attractive. You placed your hand on his cheeks and came closer and closer but something ruined the moment.
“A TITAN?!?” you yelled.
“Stay back!” Levi got his gears on and was ready to advance.
“I THOUGHT YOU SAID THAT TITANS WON’T CATCH US HERE??” You yelled in panic.
“I FORGOT THAT THEY CAN SMELL HUMANS TOO, NOW STAY DOWN!” he yelled back.
The titan roared and this changed your mind about staying down.
“Let me help—“ you said.
“No! This is my job! I don’t want you getting hurt!” Levi advanced for the titan and the titan tried to grab Levi but Levi’s speed was no match for the titan. He sliced the titan’s ankles and the titan fell on its knees.
“WHO TOLD YOU THAT YOU CAN RUIN MY DATE!!” Levi wished he had kept his mouth shut but before he even sliced the nape, you sliced it for him.
“Who told you that this was a date?” you frowned and came close to Levi.
Levi just starred at his blade which was full of the titan’s blood.
“Captain Levi, I didn’t mean to ignore your orders..again, please don’t get mad.” you said.
“Just call me Levi.” he gave his attention to you and made a cold smile. “Let me tell you something.” He came even closer to you.
“The moment I first saw you slay the abnormal, I was impressed..not really more of pissed but when I saw your face then that’s where I was mesmerized by you.” He managed to make a smile. This made you blush and before you know it he lowered his lips on yours but you refused after a few seconds.
“No, I can’t do this Levi. Having a relationship is another hard task and I think I can’t handle that responsibility. I’m sorry but I will have to decline it. Love is not on my list.” You looked down and slowly walked away, Leaving Levi in the dust.
“But you’re on my list and one day you will be my wife.” Levi muttered.
